hi to all on here, having recently aquired an E36 328i tourer in silver thought I would find a decent forum to nose about on and pick up general advice etc. and having looked around, this one seemed the best fit for what I wanted.
I have already got a leather interior for it in grey as the cloth one has some damage to the base of the rear seat and I couldnt find a replacement but did find a full set of leather which I am in the process of cleaning etc then when I get a decent day weather wise get it fitted, its not perfect but I didnt pay a lot for it either and I have found some leather spray on ebay of the same colour so those couple of marks that have shown up will hopefully dissapear, although I will spray the whole panel.
Its only my daily hack for the station and general stuff, & I do have a weekend toy hence my user name.
glad I found this site and I look forward to having a good look around in the next few weeks.

    cheers

    Andy

Bought it built as didnt have space or time, but over the last 8 years have virtually rebuilt it anyway. Last addition was a new interior last winter and the roof early this year for the run down to LeMans Classic in July, and it kept us dry and stayed on the car !!!!result.

Car is running a reworked small block chevy V8 through a tremec 5 speed box, running gear is Jag. output about the 320BHP mark with 380LBs torque, not stupid in power terms but plenty to shift the 1050Kg along.
She's also tax exempt, and emmissions exempt, so insurance and fuel are the only things to worry about, although the ins is only £145 per year incl uk & european breakdown & recovery, albeit on limited mileage. Its the fuel that hurts !!!!!

yes it can get very tail happy, especially in the damp.

spot on re fuel for general driving, although I have got 23 ish to the gallon on a run, but then I can also get it into single figures if I am playing hard !!!!!!
