Have a problem with the engine speed at low revs. Idle is fine, however when holding on the bite under load, the revs seem to search up and down meaning it's easier to stall the car. To overcome you have to make sure you apply plenty of throttle (over 1,500).

At it's last MOT the garage said it had technically failed on the emissions test (however they pushed it through to help me out) and thought it could be the Lambda/oxygen sensor. Does anyone know if this seems consistent?

Also, can anybody tell me how many of these oxygen senors there are as I've looked up the parts online and so far I've found "front" "left" and "right. Are there anymore?

    Any advise gratefully received.
    Thanks.

hmm ok, wonder if it's something to do with the "anti stall" system, just seems to encourage rather than discourage stalling. also seems to lag and then lurch a little when getting away from a standing start in a hurry. I'll have to get it plugged in and see if anything comes to light..

    cheers jimvel
