Hi there hope someone can help. I have recently bought an E92 with brushed aluminium trim which has pretty much seen better days!!! I am now wondering if i should try to repair the trim or just replace it. The rest of the interior is as good as new but the trim seems to let it down!! Can it even be repaired/cleaned up? Or should i just buy new trim and replace it? It does not look like the trim comes off too easy, can it be done? If so can you but these parts for less than £150 as I know if i go into BMW they'll pretty much bend me over the counter and F*CK me up the ass!! Can you buy trim from auto mods shops?

    All replies welcome, Thanx

I have the same trim with a lot of digs out of it on the front door cards. planing on getting it wrapped so could be an option for you and will be a lot cheaper too.

from memory i think it was around £120 to get the trim removed, carbon fibre covered then re installed. I've seen photos but not in person. does look sh*t hot though

Oh really? Sounds cool im always dubious as ive had bad experiences in the past with cowboy window tinters and so on!! But i definitely beats the price of replacing it. If you get it done post me a picture please id be interested to see what it comes out like. Thanks for your reply much appreciated.

yea no worries mate, looking at getting it done next month. Check out mintmyride.com they do some wicked tinting. they actually do the "factory" look tints for bmw around the area they serve.
