Anyone got any thoughts on this. Car has done 130k, DPF was removed a few months ago after the warning message came up. I get a lot of blue smoke on start up from cold only - it smells of diesel! I guess you would say that. No discernable oil consumption between services. Car is mostly used on long motorway drives of hours at a time, after a few such trips the EML light comes on, after a couple of days it goes out till the next time.
Tested by a BMW dealer who says the test rig indicates EGR valve and solenoid need replacing. Before I go spending lots of my har earned money, anyone out there got any thoughts? Is there a connection between theese two conditions?
Fuel consumption is 40mpg - was around 44 before dpf replacement and I would say the car does not go so well as it should do - i've had it since new.
