hi eveybody, ive recently brought a 51 plate e46 318i with the n42 engine, now im not sure if ive got an issue with the traction control or its just the way it is.with traction control on or off it will not spin to save its life! it seems a little unsure on what to do and hesitates under about 2000 rpm from stand still.is this a problem or isit normal?
dont get me wrong im not expecting it to spin up like an m3 because its only a relatively small engine but ive seen people online with the same car drifting and burnouts like its a v6.

can anyone give me any advice to this problem?

    cheers.

The 318 becomes more lively higher in the rev range, it does not have the torque to be able to do a burnout so to speak, unless you touch the brake a little when you floor it, it will however spin as much as you want it too in the wet
