Hey guys, im new to the forum but not new to BMWs. I love the car!

Iv'e done this in the wrong order and been making posts before introducing myself but what the hell? All i can say about the forum so far is that its just awesome.. Iv'e had some proper good info from very friendly people and its much appreciated

Im 22 years old, live about 20 miles from Peterborough and always willing to go to some meets and Santa pod!

Dunno if any one will be interested but below are pictures of the past BMW's. Wish i could have them all

The first BMW was my 2nd car, a silver E46 328is. This car had a hard life.. 18 years old when i brought it, 2 weeks later i got caught doing 131MPH, 2 weeks later i crashed it, 2 weeks after that i got it back on the road for one day to drive it to court and lose my licence for 6 months lol. Ended up going to a scrap yard for parts after i crashed it AGAIN (twat i know..) in the snow.

The next car was an E92 335i when i was 21. I absolutely loved this car but had to get rid of it cuz the fuel pump was failing and i was skinting myself trying to run it

And now its the E36 328i All my friends wonder how i can like this car after the 335 but i cant see how anyone couldnt love it. I really like the oldskool feel and i like modifying and working on cars

    To-do list:
1JZ-GTE conversion, Z3 rack, poly bush, Respray.

    Done list:
Short shifter, M50 manifold, Headlights, Induction kit, Front+Rear strut braces, Carbon badges, M3 diffuser, Illuminated gear knob, Body work (Rust ETC), Smoked LED Rears. Trims painted black, 18 button OBC, Dash rings, Adjustable rear camber arms, EBC brakes, New rims, M3 mirrors, Adjustable top mounts, Coil overs, ICE, Exhaust, LSD.

Welcome mate from another East Anglian

You've certainly had your fair share of nice cars despite being only 22, a year younger than me!

How on earth did you afford the E92 let alone the insurance

Either way, seems like the E36 you've got is a great compromise and like you say, a classic look

I have quite a well paid job and i lived at my sisters place for next to nothing.. that 335 was costing me about £1000 a month to own, run and insure lol. I paid 19k for that car and only owned it for about 6 months.. i sold it for just shy of 13k! No 1 wanted to pay proper money for it and i needed it gone lol. Had to downgrade car slightly but i have got my own place with the missus now so it was worth it Insurance wasnt too bad really.. wasnt too much more than im paying for this 328 i have now!

Very nice mate, loving the mods so far, i also own a 328i & im lovin it, front & rear strut braces, carbon badges (blue ones for me though) & illuminated gear knob are all on my to do list...
I'm in the same boat as reckoner72 as i had a 330bhp impreza sti, i love the drive of the bmw but miss the power of the impreza, although i dont miss the money i've saved by now having cheaper insurance & cheaper fuel costs lol
