how do everyone, just bought a e36 316 saloon in boston green. i will be honest from the start i still have a golf gti mk2 but its on its way out, well actually its rotten as a pear! i love my golfs but i have always fancied a beemer. i know the 316 is underpowered as it goes, but with gordon screwing us like he is i have to watch the pennies!

my first problem is the car needs a new rear exhaust. now i have seen one for sale but is off a 320, will this fit my car? i know i could buy one from anywhere but this one is cheapy cheap and stainless steel.

    thanks in advance beemerflog.

Welcome to the forum beemerflog, good to have you with us

Regarding your exhaust, I can't be sure, they both should be single entry, but the size may be different or even the length

welcome to the site. Only have a 318 compact myself suprised at how nippy it actually is
    ( AH80358 ) 1995 E36 318 compact , magnex cat-back system, K&N induction kit, m-tech suspension, 17" 7 spoke BMW alloys. Nothing special yet!!

Coming soon: dropped on coilovers and a new set of rims!!

cheers for the advice on the zorst i will stick to a standard one, i think the 316 will be well enough for me as ive kind of got out of that boy racer thing now, i drive a van for work so tear-arsing in the car is not for me.

    welcome

as for your exhaust, i'd stick with one specifically for a 316 model, but avoid the cheaper aftermarket replacement units, they are more hassle than they are worth.
