Hello . I am currently considering a change to BMW. I own a Vauxhall VXR8 with some mods and tbh its mental . I have been the target of unwanted police considerations and as such want to drive a more sensible vehicle.
Been looking at the Bmw range and fancy either a 335D or a 135i coupe.
Although I have never been done by a beemer, (I mince m3's and m5's) I felt the more sensible option is to go German and possibly modd it up .

The VXR8 is crap finish but value for money it cannot be outdone and is a head turner...thats what gets me in trouble.

so the question i would like to ask is............will i be happy with bmw 335d or 135i. I know the BMW finish is top rate and reasonably quick , but I dont want to spend 30k plus and wish i had stayed with VXR8.

Its gonna be a weekend/toyplay thing, hence the two different models .

    thank you

I have a 335d touring and for me it's got everything, space, performance, quality, the lot. Can't imagine why anyone would want to go much faster than what this thing will do. Plus (apart from the twin exhausts) it blends in nicely with all the other ordinary cars on the road.

Pop down to your local BMW dealer and take some cars for a spin

well, a 335D wont be as quick the VXR as you know (in a straight line) but the chassis will be much better!

I would say to buy a 2nd hand V8 M3 andhave the best of both worlds...

Slightly confused but if you own the VXR8,and wish you had stayed with it, stay with it, at least till you have had enough of it and got it out of your system. Otherwise you won't be happy with whatever you buy and will end up changing cars unnecessarily, losing money.

I guess so , but it's only what we observed, after all I've been told that I drive a hair dressers car on more than one occasion.
