    thanks mate

thats exactly what i wanted, a retro/old school classic, with a bit of ooomph was surprised at the level of kit it has for a 16 year old car, i'm looking forward to getting out and about in it this summer. next job, is trawling round the insurance companies.

thanks. i do like a clean motor, so could happily spend a whole day out the front cleaning it, especially as this will be the smartest car i've had.
i've always used autoglym products, but am open to other suggestions.

There are a number of AG and Meguirs lovers on here. I recently tried some Chemical Guys products and thought they were excellent.

You'll be able to get info and help in the Detailing section.

Myself and some others have also joined dedicated detailing forum www.detailingworld.co.uk

There's a wealth of info on there too

dizzle, thanks for the advice, my mate mentioned meguires today. i'll hv a nose in the detailing section, always up for learning something.

watty, thanks for the welcome, lot of friendly people on here. i've had a few different motors, last being a s14 200sx, run jun cams, and hks bits, plus a nur spec r exhaust. i was lucky whilst working on my last tour, to visit the bmw museum in munich, fell in love with lots of cars there, hence my purchase, just wanted something, quick, classy, and abit different from the norm, hope its a wise choice.

freddy, it was the add that really caught my eye, and, thus far, the dealings with 4 star, have been 1st class, i'll keep you posted, how the rest of the purchase goes.
just can't wait to go and pick the car up
