    Hello all,

My name is James, 23 years young, studied photography at university but ended up as an electrician Live near Bridgend, S.Wales.

I recently emptied my piggy bank and purchased a 04 plate 320d m sport.

A total newbie to BMW's and what I would consider a new car. You would usually find me under something french with a spanner.

Bit of a car nut I have a Peugeot 106 XSi which I have prepared for track abuse and has been a huge learning curve. 1.6 16v engine conversion, stripped, roll cage and bucket seats.

I also have a 106 rallye which I recently dropped a 1.6 16v engine into but this is more road orientated, still has its full interior and looks standard.

I have an old MG BGT under going restoration, which will be fitted with a wide arch bodykit and a new modern engine conversion. Something like a red top or S2000 engine.

BMW I would consider my first refined car, mainly purchased for better mpg and something more suited to the daily drive. The rallye with its low ratio box is annoying sitting at 4.5k revs at 70mph for the 40min drive to work!

Unsure whether to service the vehicle myself or continue with the full dealer service history record, I am not planning on spending a great deal modifying the car. But would love to hear your tips and tricks for the vehicle and if there are any things I should check on the vehicle.

From the quick 30min browse of the forum I see alot of posts regarding swirl flaps?

    Thanks
