Make that very different! Hi everyone, I'm Aaron from Lancashire and since the age of 15 I've owned a Ford Capri, and then gradually more and more Capris until I now have five. Funds have limited getting any more otherwise it would definitely be more.
Sparked off by my sister's mention of buying me another Capri for my collection at Christmas, I had a look on ebay for cheap Capris. Seeing none, I expanded my search and wondered what other cars I liked, were cheap... what wonderful classics had I forgotten about.
I found some great cars. Triumph Dolomite Sprint, Mini Clubman, Reliant Scimitars and some old Merc's. I also spotted a BMW 635 CSi. It's a car I'd seen as a child but never really expected to get. However the price stayed low, and I placed a bid, completely expecting it to go far above what I could afford (well couldn't afford. I shouldn't buy any more cars but I think it's an addiction. Still cheaper than cigarettes I reckon and far cooler).
So I very quickly became the owner of a silver BMW 635 CSi Auto. The car is a project; the previous owners having bought it but never got around to working on it. It's fairly complete, but I think there will be a few interior parts I have to buy, like black leather headrests for the front seats, some interior plastics that are broken, a radio (had a great read of a topic on here regarding radios and realised that it'll be a long time til I can afford a decent OEM or one that looks the part).
The car looks rough and has some untidy welding along the sills, but I hope that overall it's going to be a fairly easy project to get back into road-worthy shape and have some fun in.
There's some pictures in this thread on the 6-series sub-forum, which may or may not please you!

This forum looks like a very well-developed community and already has given me some good reading and ideas of what to expect or focus on. I look forward to much more of that and hopefully I can give something back too!
