Back in a BM after a couple of years in a Merc,
Had an E46 coupe prior to this and have just bought an E46 touring from BMW Approved.
It's not the engine size I would have liked (316i) but it seems more than quick enough if pushed along.
Going from a 3.2 V6 to this is a bit strange but I'm enjoying it all the same.
Just glad to see the back of the Merc.

    welcome aboard.....

each to their own but surely the Merc was a more comfy car whereas BMWs tend to be more harsh and edgey

thanks to all for the welcome, been away for a few days, hence the late reply.
regarding the merc and it's comfort. they also have different suspension set up's. I had a C320 avantgarde, (what the traffic cops use) which had the hardest suspension, the engine was bullet proof but everything else went wrong.
had my first Bimmer nearly 20 years ago, a E30 320i, what a machine when your 19 years old. So I'm not new to BM's
