I used to be on this forum once upon a time when I had my two E36 316's (compact and a saloon) then kinda moved away from the BM's due to insurance horrors.

Now though, due to my ability to grow a beard in a surprising lack of time, insurance has come down considerably and I thought it's about high-time I stopped messing about with lesser diesels and came back to where was right went a-shopping for insurance the other day and found that a E36 325TDS was £60 more than my Golf TDI to insure, the same to tax and test drove a few to figure out that the difference between them was a bit like comparing a candle to the sun.

So thought I'd make a reappearance and see how the world is revolving back on here. I look forward to checking through the forums!

I can't fault it's engine. It's on like 176k and still going 40-50mpg but the windows don't work, the brakes are nigh-useless and it's slower than ageing.

Always wanted to get back to BMW since I sold my E36.
