    Yep, another newbie.

Hi, I have just bought 320Cd MSport 2006. Moved on and up from my Astra SRI, a car that served me well for many yrs. Couldnt go back to anything rather than a BMW. I was tempted by the 9.3 Aero but once I got into the 3 series there was no comparrison.

Thanks for the warm welcome people.

Ronnie, the SRI was my first proper car, new job, decent wage etc etc. It was a 2002 registration so was on the old shape. To be honest I loved it but I'd grown bored of it and the novelty wore off. Off the marke it probably reacts faster than the BMW but only for afew seconds. It certantly handled different to the BM, alot more smaller. On small town rds I think the BM would struggle to catch the SRI. It was a fun car, pretty flashy when I got it, for my age at the time. I'd just out grown that style of car, my boy racer had gone out of me ha. Also the interior of the BM kills the SRI. Astra interiors are probably one of the worst you can get i'd say.
I honestly dont think there is any comparrison. I didnt even contemplate the new SRI or even VXR for that matter.
I drive the BM alot mores slower than the astra, an I get alot more enjoyment out of doing so.
The only thing left to see is the reliabilty of the BM. The SRI never once in 4yrs gave me any serious problems.
