    Hello
I am currently living in Alaska and in the military. My family and I are getting ready to move to RAF Lakenheath. I am going to be in the market for a BMW soon. i have never owned one, but I figured why not now. I thing I am leaning towards an E46 330ci or E36 M3. Comments?

    Welcome to the forum mate

RAF Lakenheath is about 45 minutes down the road from me. Best of luck with the move and either of those cars will make you happy

Hi and welcome to the forum, personally I prefer the looks of the E46 so would go for the 330. Being military you will probably not be bothered regarding the MPG as your annual mileage would be less than a civilian driver. I know mine is less than 4k a year

I am on a 6000 GBP budget. I will only be stationed there for 3 years and I won't be able to take it back to the states with me.

I would go for the M3, presuming insurance is not a problem. But E46 330i coupe is quite an alternative, as well. As said, either of those will make you smile every time you get behind the wheel. Welcome to BF!
There are only two products required to make the universe work properly: Duct tape and WD40.

If it moves (and it shouldn't): duct tape.
If it doesn’t move (and it should): WD40.

    Everything else is just stuff.
