...and now I'm wondering why it took me so bloody long!

    Just bought a 328 E36 M sport coupe

and I love it, but I really need to get an LSD although I'm debating trading up to an M3 if I can save the money.

I think you are on a loser there if traction is fitted as they fight. E36 M3s never got traction control for that reason I believe

The ASC is off most of the time anyway probably a dodgy sensor somewhere. TBH I was debating removing the ASC throttle and replacing it with a samco hose.

Just been looking at mods, by the time I've bought an M50 manifold, BBTB, M3 diff, SS exhaust, got it remapped, I'm probably not far off the money I'd spent if I sold it and bought an M3.

It's still early days yet, I love the gadgets, build quality, smooth ride, great engine and RWD but I miss the white knuckle power delivery of my last car - 1000kg stripped out, FWD 2L turbo. If I could just get the refinement of my 328 but with a 12-13s SQM I think that would be perfect. If only I had the money lol!

Most ASC simulates an LSD by using ABS to brake the spinning wheel, not desireable if this one does with an LSD.

A 328 diff saves messing about if you can find one. Not that rare if you look at non sport cars

No really but you do need to swap the flanges. Only the EVO is big case needing new subframe etc
