    Hi Folks,

I've been thinking about buying a second hand 5 series for ages, but just don't know which one to get. I thought I had settled on a nice 2008 reg 520D SE, and set about looking for a nice example with beige dakota leather interior. Then I saw an 520 m sport and it looks amazing and to my suprise I found myself looking at the 520 touring. Now I'm totally confused, don't know which one to get. Any advice on which one to go for or to avoid would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Xraydude.

Saloon and touring is down to needs. Do you need the extra space of a tourer. Personally I would go for the 530d, as it is so much more car. I found the 520 to be seriously underpowered when I tested a few. It's a heavy car, okay when cruising but sluggish acceleration.

Plus the Msport will hold it's price better, make sure you get one that's well specced also.
