Hi, just thought i'd introduce myself. Welcomed a 2004/2005 330d Touring into our family two weeks ago, and as Jeremy Clarkson would say 'What a machine!!" I've been reading the forum eveyday, hoovering up servicing and operating tips.
Collected a few parts from Hereford BMW and eBay in order to do the swirl flaps, vortex breather and vacuum hose checks/replacement this weekend.

    Wish me luck...

Hi Lee and welcome to the forums ;thumbsup

If you have the time I'd seriosly consider cleaning the intake manifold out while its off, just remember to remove the electric valves ,
all the gaskets and the MAP sensor and clean it separately with contact cleaner.

If you're struggling just pop back on the forums and start a technical thread, theres usually one or two members online who have performed the
process and would be able to assist.

Good Luck, tho I'm sure you wont need it

Thanks Slowtech, i've read about people taking the manifold down to the local garage to jetwash the crap out

If I have time I will.

Do you recommend I disconnet the battery while I do all this? Can't seem to find a definitive yes or no answer...
