Hi this is my first post so here goes.
Can anyone shed any light on my problem. I recently bought a 2010 26000 mile 118d M Sport Auto and have noticed a strange resanating noise in the cabin on idle. Not very loud but very anoying it disapears with a slight touch of the throttle also it seams worse when idleing in drive. it comes on when hot after around 30 minutes driving but can only be heard at idle. Any advice will be greatfully accepted. I read on another forum and someone had posted about the rubberised weight on the exhaust to tune out the resanation in the exhaust. They said that they had the weight replaced with one from a 320d as this one was heavier and that it worked so I checked this out. I found the part numbers for both parts and they were the same! That tells me they are the same part on both cars. Any comments anyone?
