    Hi Guys,

Firstly I'd like to say 'Hi' to eveyone on here. I've just bought a 2008 E92 MSport 320d in sparkling graphite with the 19" alloys from a dealer in Glasgow and am loving the car and it's looks...

...except for one thing. At motorway speeds I'm getting a vibration through the seat when on nice smooth tarmac. As I live near Sunderland the Glasgow dealer said to take it to my local BMW dealer so they could check the balancing. I did this and my local dealer reported that one of the rears was buckled and therefore the likely cause of the vibration. Upon informing Glasgow dealer of this (and the cost for a new one) they dragged their feet so much I decided to take the car back to them (as I was going back up there anyway) so they could look for themselves.

Upon collecting the car from them at the end of the day and being told they'd actually replaced 3 of the alloys with allosy from another car they had on their lot. Great I thought...until driving home when the vibration was there exactly the same.

Having emailed the Glasgow dealer as soon as I got home (I've yet to get a reply after 5 days) I was just wondering if anyone on here has any ideas if the cause could be anything other than the alloys still being buckled?

Sorry for the long post but I though it worth describing the background.

    Cheers

    Simon

    The 19's do buckle easily.

Vibrations through the seat are symptomatic of issues with the rears, so I would really focus on that area for your solution. Did they use different tyres too ? If you have a damaged tyre, or one that has gone out of round, then these will vibrate too.

    Welcome mate,

Hope you get your problems sorted out - you might want to post in the relevant technical section to get more exposure of your problem though
