Hi all. Another newbie here. I've had a 2005 e92 320d for a couple of years now. Got it mapped up to 206bhp last year and I'm looking to get some mods done over the next couple of years. If anyone can point me in the direction of a good thread for tuning diesels I would appreciate it!

The majority of tuning on them as a diesel specifically doesn't much much further past remaps!
An air filter isn't a consideration, the ECU controls the turbo to give as much air/boost as is needed, so apart from maybe slight efficiency and sound improvements (if any), it isn't that important.

Good results have been seen from decat pipes though, although next year's MOT tests are looking like they will be checking for them.

Cheers for that. So would I do better at looking to swap to a petrol if I want some nice tune ups? What are popular and reasonable (price wise)/

It might be worse with a petrol, as there is not as much extra power to be made from tuning.
You certainly wouldn't get the big jump that diesel remapping gives you

206bhp from a 2.0 diesel isn't bad going, to be fair!

Yep I was pretty blown away when the guy gave me the results. The guy before me had a 125i coupe mapped from 215 to 280!! The guy was grinning like a cheshire cat that just discovered he got a cream favoured ring piece.
What other sort of mods are available if there is not much to be had in performance? Exhausts for improved sound? better suspension? Air filters?
And what is a decat exhaust?
