hi just joined after run out of free views,, can anyone help with this question, some lowlife has forceablly pulled out the electronic key fob from my 535d whilst engine running and in drive, whilst waiting at the traffic lights ,when the fob was retrieved and put back in i got a warning message about car not starting. now it seems ok,is it worth getting it checked out at a beemer garage to see if ignition/immobillizer slot in steering columb has been damaged???? normally u have to use the engine stop button and put her into park before the fob can be removed. any help is gratefully recieved as i only have the 1 key fob for the car...

Yes, as if the EWS code isn't received by the engines ECU the the car will fail to start, leaving you stranded.
