    I reckon you might have found your issue, these sludger engines struggle with MPG at anything other than optimum temp.

    I'd look at your thermostats before going about any big jobs.

    That is not great but if your main stat was shot it wouldn't even get close to 12 o'clock, most times it only even just gets out of the blue. Have you tried the hidden menu to get you running temp? press and hold the trip reset button under some numbers appear and then quickly press again and again until you reach 19, wait for it to say "lock off" (it takes a second or two), then press the reset botton again. Now press quickly to get to menu 7.0 wait, the first item in the menu is engine temp, the read out looks like 0075 which means 75 degrees C. To get rid of the menu just restart or press and hold the trip buttin until it goes away

    EGR stat changed and doesn't sound like a dead Main Stat

    then we can rule the main stat out then. i'll double confirm tonight with a digital readinf but im pretty certain its not the main stat.

    You need to be getting 88-92C after 6 miles of driving
