Hi, waiting to take delivery of my first BM and been checking out the forum.
Looking to change the standard 16" wheels for M5 style 18" alloys with 245/40/18 tyres. Any views on whether this is a good move?

    Hey KAM! Another Scottish E60 - woo hoo :-) I have a 2005 530d

Erm, you will have a bumpy ride on the 18s, which is what I have, but it's all down to a personal test Do you have the sports body kit? Any linky to your car at all??

Tell you what though, put a good set of tyres on 18s (I have the 240/40 too in Good year f1 all round) and it sticks like nothing else on the bends.... Though I have m sport model.

welcome to the club matey! Red.

    Thanks guys / girlz?????
Don't have sports trim or suspension so reckon wont be so bumpy. I am almost set on going the 18" route.
No pics yet but will once I get it next week - waoting on DVLA to get my reg on it.
Getting rid of my SAAB 9-5 Aero - goes like s*** as long as in a straight line, so looking forward to more poise from the 530.
