    Hello all

New to this really so here goes.

Pulled up in drive the other day to discover smoke coming out from underneath the bonnet and a strong smell of burning oil inside the car. Recently I have done the rounds trying to pinpoint any leaks and have changed the solenoid valve seals and the oil filter housing seal. There seems to be oil on a ledge above the exhaust manifold and when the engine was running I seen some drip out and obviously go up in smoke.

Can anyone suggest what seal will need changing and if its a big job or not. Also checked vacuum pump but that seems to be fine.

Reminds me of my Golf MK1 with oil leaking from the rear crankshaft seal straight onto the exhaust - at the lights I was like a disco smoke machine with drivers either side kindly pointing out the smoke emerging from under my car - like I'm Mr Magoo and hadn't noticed
