Just wondered if anyone can shed any light/point me in the right direction on a problem that occured on my 530D E39. It developed a serious mis-fire on number 2 cylinder & I feared it may be the dreaded swirl flap problem but on removing the manifold they were ok (Have now blanked them off whilst it was off) Sent the injector for testing & it was completely u/s so was repaired & refitted but it is still running with a misfire which isn't as bad but still not driveable. Have heard horror stories about valves dropping but before I go down the route of having the head taken off just wondered if you guys had any similar problems or ideas? There are no fault codes coming up.
