Hi all. Just like to say what a great site. I also own a 1977 RA28 Liftback Celica and this site is all over anything for that.

I pick up my first BMW next Friday, a 2002 330D Manual Touring, 42,000 miles and FBMWSH with full Napa yellow leather interior, which I'm not quite sure about yet! Can't wait after reading all about them on here. Hopefully won't be using this site too much for the wrong reasons and it appears apart from changing the oil breather to a Vorex one I shouldn't have too many issues.

Thanks for the site, has been a wealth of information for me over the last week or so and will post a small donation when I get the car.

    Jim

Thanks for the welcome. Will get pics up as soon as I get the car including the interior, apparently it also has some light coloured wood in there rather than dark walnut. I'm intrigued! Anyone one else got this colour combo out there as I'm buying the car 'almost' blind from a friend in London.

Well holy smoke. Finally picked up the car Friday from London and Jesus it is a lot quicker than I thought, the torgue is amazing. I've never had a diesel before and I love it already. Fallen quite lucky as it had a brand new crated engine, petrol tank and all pipes fitted 20,000 miles ago (at £8k!!!) so in essence the engine has only done 23,000 miles total....bit of a petrol/diesel mix up at the pump. Bought off a friend of mine and he's had it from new so know all the history, just the odd trip to the shops but mainly runs home up the motorway. The car is pretty much mint. Pics to follow.

    Cheers

    Jim
