    Hi folks,

    Today I put a deposit down in a 09 320d M Sport Touring. It has been a long hunt for the right car at the right price but i am delighted to say that i'll be picking it up on Saturday!

    Black Sapphire, leather, auto with the 193 wheels and few other extras.

    Jumping ship from Audi (S3) and it's also my 1st diesel. Not sure how it'll compare performance wise though definitley looking forward to less visits to BP!!

    I have a couple questions that i'm sure you guys can answer eaily enough;

    1. I have read a few comments here that the 19" wheels are prone to cracking, are the 18" ok and is there anything else i should check over when i collect at the weekend?
    2. The car has the Extended Luggage Features. I can't seem to work out what this is, but i read that there should be a fold up box or something. Is this correct?

    Anyway, i reckon i'll be on here fairly regularly.

    Cheers
    Iain

    can't help much with the luggage question but as for the wheels, yes stay with the 18"s, ride is a little smoother also.
    Also welcome to the forum

    Not too positive about the later beems, their maps and especially deisels...

    But surely a remap on a modern, stock deisel car may just be a bit expensive for potential gains? As I said I dont know, there could be huge gains i'm blissfully unaware of.

    I'd put money on where it counts in BMWs. Keeping it serviced and running flawlessly. Well, as an old Beemer owner, waving money bags at better suspension, massive deep dish wheels and copious dealer parts when anal perfectionism plays part, I doubt I can say I'm spending wise money!

    Good luck with it mate. Most beemers are brilliant cars (bar the 4x4s....) and you'll probably love it.
