Hi everyone, hope someone can help me out.
I had warning lights come up on the dash and after some research realised that my abs sensors needed replacing.I replaced the two rear sensors but had to drill them out.car seemed ok but then the lights came back on,sometimes go out and when they are off the abs kicks in every time when I slow down,at about 5mph.i removed the wheels and checked everything over, the only thing I noticed was a small hole in the relucter ring, this must have happened when I drilled out the old sensors.
I'm wanting to sell the car so can't be spending fortunes to repair, any ideas about what's wrong with it or how to fix would be much appreciated.

i think you have answered your own question by being a tad careless with a drill...unless the wiring or plugs or the new sensors are dodgy i think ya now in some trouble realistically...

Yes it looks that way, just wondering what sort of work is involved to fix and how much it's likely to bust my bank balance?

ide suggest getting BMW INPA diags first to see whats really going on...

it dont cost much and you can look at the ABS sensors performing in realtime individually on each wheel....

or see if there is anybody on a forum with INPA who lives near you who would scan ya car and have a look...

Is this the same sort of diagnostics they use at a garage?if so that would be a start to find the exact problem.i guess I'll have to cross my fingers and hope.

its BMW factory diagnostics it does everything that a dealer software does just in a more crude visual form and not flashy to look at...

BMW INPA diagnostics an idiots guide to getting started

depends if your car is full 16pin OBD2 or a crossover car as to what cables you need...

software is free nudge nudge, wink wink...
