i read on the original link, that drilling out the CDV can cause leakages and stuff... i dont trust myself to drill it out dead centre...

so, anyone know where i could pick up a modded one? or is that US site the only place?

Looks like the only place to get it. You can get an unmodified one from dealer and practice your drill skills on that maybe .

Im questioning whether my car actually has this valve...

i went on real oem and the part is on the picture but not listed:

    http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...94&hg=21&fg=10

and the website with the modified ones doesnt mention the 323, it mentions the 328 doesnt have one... so i wonder if the 323 has one too which came out at the same time as the 328...

    hmmm

Item no.15 Ste, however, not listed so maybe you are correct. BMW call it a lock valve.

yeah as i suspected to be honest...

general e46 picture, so maybe as it not listed, its not fitted.,..

maybe its just the camshaft sensor that makes me stall and not drive right, not actually the cdv...

its hard when theres a couple of problems and possible causes :(

Your engine problem has nothing to do with the CDV. That is a safety feature so that you don't abuse the clutch

lol, i know that, but not being able to launch and control the car at low speeds has stuff to do with the clutch
