    I've wondered this too, my saloon has a dark grey arm rest, but the rest of the interior is light grey (almost white). Perhaps it was an Evo thing?

    On the point of VANOS, I've heard that it can also make a "rrrrrrrrrrrr" type sound when the revs falls from about 2k to 1k at standstill, however I'm not sure how correct that is.

    I heard it sounds like a marble in a tin can, but cant say for sure, only what I heard.

    I got offered a similar car as a swap for my E46 323ci a while back, but it turned out to be a CAT D damage repaired car. Was the same colour as that.

    I would love one at some point. Best thing to value it is similar ones for sale just see if its worth what your boat is worth. But at the end of the day it's only worth what people are willing to pay for it as my old dad says.
