Hi. My 335i is in a dealer for warranty work (in my opinion& others also). This dealer did not supply my car--please note. At reception I was asked, actually demanded, to know how I was going to pay for up to 2 hours diagnostic work, at £100ph !! if it turned out that the faults were not related to warranty. (This ontop of demanding a charge for a loan car !!) Members please be aware that a 12month sales warranty is NOT a manufacturers guarantee & therein lies the "grey area" The obvious attitude of this dealer is "we didn't sell the car so we are going to be as B --- minded as we can" How short sighted??
If you have excellent sales service from your supplying dealer take it back to them & nowhere else.
Needless this will be taken up by me with BMW UK

I expect they're going to be paid by someone for undertaking your warranty work, you are not a charity case. So they should have welcomed you as a valued customer. You could have given this billing opportunity to any dealership - and you kindly chose them!

They normally ask anyway how your going to pay for the work when your sat at the desk with the service advisor. If they were rude i'd just say a few choice words and walk away, plenty more dealers that want your custom

Problem we have up this corner is that the nearest next 2 dealers are 70 and and 100 miles away and the 1 70 miles away is owned by the same guy that has the Aberdeen franchise so its either Inverness or Perth if you dont want to use them.

So far I've been lucky insofar as I've had excellent service from them even though I bought the X5 in Liverpool. Being honest I wouldn't buy from them after the attitude over my A6 being a shed (same guy has pretty much ALL the German marques here). I'll use them for warranty as I'm not paying but Come service time I'll make a weekend of it in Inverness to get it done there!!
M135i, prof nav, adaptive suspension, 8 speed sport auto, heated memory seats, comfort access, Harman Kardon, voice control, USB interface etc etc pocket rocket

535d m-sport in Platinum Grey, black dakota, sport auto, sun protection glass, media pack, spoiler, voice control, lane departure warning.

X5 3.0sd 20s Dynamic Pack, Memory Pack, Logic 7, Panoramic Sunroof, Reversing Camera, Rear DVD, Programmable Park Heat, Tow Pack - GONE and will be missed

Just shows you the difference dealers can make John. Even the dealer principle called me today to have a chat about something (details of which may follow shortly if it all comes about)
