    dpf removal (3) - Copy.jpgdpf removal (4) - Copy.jpgdpf removal (6).jpg

My car went in to have the dpf internals removed and the i-drive light reset this is what they did instead, they would not let me have the old part or even see it this was because they had gas axed it out and made a complete mess of it. I had to go back 3 times for the i-drive to be reset and on the last visit was told it would cost another £40 to sort in an attempt to rip me off.

The bore of pipe used is much smaller than the original as can be seen and was poorly welded in place even the dpf sensor was welded in the wrong place making the wiring stretch under the propshaft and not secure in its original clip.

Take my advice avoid this place there customer service is terrible, they claim the work carried out is fine as can be seen in the pictures this is not a good job, after getting a second opinion I am currnently in the process of taking them to court. Dont end up in this situation and make sure you get references as it shows there are companys out there who will do a poor repair and rip you off!

They have used a mig welder instead of tig so the welds will probably break off shortly due to vibration its not even a decent bead of weld like theyve let a novice do it good luck with the court case you deserve some compo for the abortion job theyve done on your car

That's atrocious welding, it's even got a bit of welding rod sticking out. And that mirror finish stainless looks like the sort of stuff used for cosmetic purposes, really thin walled.

Wow, that's the worst job I've seen, and that's saying something! Usually what companies do is empty the original DPF out and weld it back up again and put back in - or replace the DPF with a specialist, tested straight pipe!

Reminds me of a job done by Sinspeed in London on my previous car a 2007 Vectra 3.0CDTI Auto. Went in to have the innards removed from the DPF. Came back 3 weeks later with a damaged wiring harness and corrupted ECU and they hadn't touched the DPF. Cost me £1700 to put right. Another company to avoided at all cost

that is some very poor welding, mine isn't great i must admit, but a damn sight better than that pile of snot.
mig welding could be much better, pulse welding would have made that much tidier.
