Good morning all...bit of advice required by a newbie

I have a 320d on an 08 plate. I got it last year and was BMW full service history. She has 86,000 miles on her.
The next service is approaching and I just wondered if you'd go main dealer route still or an indy.
The other thing is that the handbrake warning light and the DSC warning lihgt is on in yellow and if the DTC unit needs replacing does this get BMW goodwill (at 85,000 miles) or is the indy the cheaper and best way to go.
I havent tried re-setting yet but reading some posts maybe i should try that first?

    Thanks for your help

I don't think BMW are too good at goodwill, especially at 85k and 6 years old, but no harm trying!

Take it to a normal garage they will charge you £25-50 to put your car on a diagnostic check that will te u any codes of error that way you m ow whats wrong otherwise bmw will just sting you my car had all three lights last year bad a diagnostic was told faulty abs unit phoned bmw £1200 for new one went 5 mins down the road to bmw breakers got a used one £50 went back to garage 1hrs labour cost me £100 total to fix been good as gold since

The 3 lights could be many problems to do with sensors or pump best getting it tested even if your going to use be ripped off by them quoting unecessary work
