As recommended in a post by Ronnie last week i contacted them through they're website out of business hours and inquired about whether they had any used but good gas front shocks for a 92K 325I and if they did how much they would be with postage. The next morning (Thursday) at 8am i received an email back saying they had them in stock, £50 for the pair plus £10 postage plus vat and to call if i wished to order them. I then rang at lunchtime and spoke to Lee, confirmed they were definitely gas and ordered them and paid by card. Friday morning Lee rang me and said he'd found some on a car that were nearly new and described as very shiny and still painted black but they were not genuine and would i be interested in them instead. Well knowing that all i could find when getting prices for brand new gas ones that everyone seemed to supply Sachs boge only i said yes I'd have them, he said ok I'll get them out today and re-confirmed my post code.

This morning they turned up at 9am, exactly as described (very black and shiny) and my suspicions were correct - they were Sachs boge, to my complete surprise they also came fully built up with nearly new looking springs and top mounts - result!!

I then checked the part numbers on the shocks using Sachs website http://www.sachs-boge.co.uk/ and then found out they were M-Tech spec - even bigger result!

I can not recommend this company highly enough, Lee was especially helpful, the cost and postage were very reasonable and to offer probably a better pair of shocks at the same price was the icing on the cake.

    They're contact details are: www.quarrymotors.co.uk
    Tel: 0114 276 9076 for spares

Just a little note to say thanks to Ronnie, i was aware this company existed through ebay (user name quarrymot) but would not have thought to try them through they're website if you hadn't suggested it.

Steve: Yeah I was very pleased I'll check the springs against the m-tech ones I have and see if they're m-tech as well-handy spares if they are

Kevin: My luck is never normally this good either but I suppose we've all got to get lucky occasionally!!

Boostist: the way I see things is credit where credits due and I hope my experience and review helps someone else get parts from somewhere reputable that offer a professional service instead of being ripped off from somewhere shadey

Glad you got a deal there EscapeReality, there are certain companies you hear as being good and bad in the trade, Quarry Motors are a good one , hence my recommendation

Going to suggest my boss rings them this week about a 520i e39 engine that we need, hopefully we will be lucky too

I too have dealt with Quary Motors (through eBay) have purchased a couple of items from them both received very fast and in excellent condition.

This isn't my car, it's how my car see's itself in it's own head

I am in complete agreement about Quarry, have received some tailgate rams that I ordered from them. Not only were they £15 cheaper than fab, but the delivery was also £5 cheaper! Ordered at around 10am Tuesday, parts delivered Weds morning!! Will definately be using again!

Agreed.. I have used Quarry in the past for various items that main stealers have quoted Nasa prices for.

Quarry have always been on top of their game with price, quality and knowing one end of a BMW from another.. Will certainly use again!!
I don't suffer from insanity......... I enjoy it!!!!
