I've not found any references regarding these guys apart from the useful 'Recommended Garages by county' thread by Ronnie.

I need the Swirl Flaps and engine breather done on my 51' 330d auto and spoke to a helpful chap called Bob. He explained that they used the new Vortex engine breather and he'd be happy to collect my car and return it on the same day with the work completed. Nice one.

I was quoted £188 and £50.52 for SF's and EB respectively; inclusive of vat. He'll also cast an eye over the rest of the car for me.

It's booked in for next Wednesday.

OK job done:

Car the car supposed to be picked up from my house as arranged for 7.45am (machanic only lives up the hill from me). He forgot; but then quickly and with apologies, arranged for it to ber picked up by his business partner for 9.30 am instead.

Ok, no probs because my wife was in.. thank god.

Car was returned 6.00pm with Swirl flaps and engine (Vortex) breather done.

6x 45mm swirlflaps £60.00
Swirls flap conversion £100.00
Replace engine breather with a modified unit £25
Engine breather £18
Collect and Deliver from home FOC

Total £239.68 inclusive

They also invited me to buy an 'Autologic' remap @ £395. I'm not sure my autobox will like it but that's for another thread.

So far so good. Anyone else dealt with them?

I have delt with them in the past, brill service fair price. its the only place i would use for my 330dm they did thr remap on mine. its unreal. go for it for sure.

I get them to do all the work on my 318ti and my mum's E46 320i. So far they are doing an excellent job, for a similar hourly rate to our previous mechanic (competent but not much of a specialist), and seem to be able to source OEM parts at competitive rates. They are all consummate BMW enthusiasts and I think it shows in the quality of the work. When describing a fault to them, generally they have correctly guessed what the issue is before even plugging in the diagnostics computer. Highly recommended.

Both our cars are petrol but I was chatting to Bob about their Autologic tuning and he said something along the lines that although the package provides reasonable power gains for the petrol engines, diesels not only get more power but economy increases exponentially, resulting in substantial savings over time.

They definitely know their stuff, and I'd rather take my car to them than the stealership any day of the week...

I've passed these guys a few times now and wondered how good they are as I've only ever seen good publicity (although I'm a Mercedes owner I like to be in-the-know and I'm already actively looking at BMW for my next car).

I see that they use OEM parts, but do they also have the latest equipment that a BMW dealership would use (key reader, diagnostics etc...) and are they able to install software updates and get TSBs?

*Forgot to ask, are they on any insurance companies 'approved repairers' lists?

Had a bit of a situation at Paddock motors. Jurys out on this one - not sure if it was foul play or just lazyness on thier part - probably a little of both / perhaps there is actually a small random chance I could be wrong (but you generally know when your instincts are screaming out) - either way I paid for it.
