This is for anyone within easy reach of Nottingham, thats looking for a trusty independant BMW specialist.

    BMW Series 9
    Fishergate Point
    Nottingham
    NG1 1GD
    Tel: 0115 950 4527

(I would also urge fellow members not to use H.A.C service centre if you see them advertised and think it looks like a good outfit. I have personally had a very bad experience with them over a not very complicated repair that they screwed up and it ended up costing me 5 times the amount to be rectified elsewhere).

    I can also strongly recommend:

    David Drew (Garages) Ltd
    Radcliffe Road
    Nottingham, NG2 5FX
    Phone: 0115-981 7800

They used to service my Alfa 33 - family firm of semi-racing and flying enthusiasts right by Trent Bridge who seriously know their stuff about almost all cars. Always saw me right.

There always seems to be a couple of letters missing off "David Drew"'s sign.....i think the last time i went past it said "Davi Dr w"

I hope his servicing is better than his sign fixing :-)

I can fully back up DSK's opinion of H.A.C. had problems with my starter motor on my old Golf, and they pissed about with battery, alternator etc. Overall the service was poor and I won't be going back!!!!!

Was going to post a new topic, asking for advice on 'servicing' of my recently purchased 54 Plate - 325 CI Sport. Where to go? Expected costs? Main Dealer vs Independent?? Etc

Any further suggestions, or advice would be much appreciated, especially regarding costs? Should I service every year or per 12K/15K miles??

I'll look into the 2 places suggested, thanks for those... any other help is much needed

    Cheers

    Dan

Independents will be cheaper and as long as the indys are VAT registered and use genuine parts and oil e.t.c then the warranty will not be invalidated
