    hi,
i'm new on this and have had a look through previous threads but can't find the advice i'm looking for. hopefully one of you (or a few, since many brains are better than one) can help me.

i need a supplier for some replacement engine parts. the engine in question is the M43B18 from a 1998 E36 318i. the parts i want for now are new crankshaft journal bearings, piston rings, valve guides and seats, and all the gaskets and seals (i'm stripping down and rebuilding the engine if you hadn't already guessed). the gaskets arent a problem but i'm finding it tricky to find the other parts. later on i will also be looking for some lighter pistons, conrods and flywheel, aswell as some sportier cams. does anyone know of any good UK suppliers?

hope i'm not repeating previously answered questions
    thanks alot

    jay

is the DME (digital motor electronics?) the same as the ECU? if so can u not just buy a new/used one? i don't know if bmws are as "plug and play" orientated as other manufacturers. start a new thread mate because i doubt many people will read it in this thread (because this is one i started asking for suppliers). that way anyone who comes across it will be able to help you better
