    my e36 has gone to the local bm whizz for a crank sensor replacement (hope this stops the stalling problems)had this car for about 5 weeks only got to drive it 3 days before it started with this

    could still have the problem matey, mine was doing this and i replaced , crank sensors inlet and exhaust , o2 sensors both pre cat and was still doing it turned out to be a vaccum leak under the engine cover, runs spot on now and i have the comfort of those new sensors i fitted are there now so should never go again in my time with the car.

    Are you sure it was crank sensor? Its normally cam sensors that cause stalling, crank sensor would stop the car from starting or make it hard to start. Did they pull up fault codes?
