    Hi,

I have also been looking for a reputable independant in NLondon.

Having spoken to friends S&B motors in edgware comes well recommended. http://www.s-b-motors.co.uk/

My father took his car for repair recently and they diagnosed and repaired the fault quickly with no fuss. Previous indy kept charging a fortune changing parts with the same idling problem that wouldn't go away. Took my car there today for MOT and aircon regas - very polite service, busy and clean workshop.

While not the cheapest in the area they seem the most honest - e.g. they quoted my friend for a job then ended up charging less because they finished the job quicker than expected. It's rare that I've heard of that happening!

I plan to use them in future.

    Hope this helps,

    L

Not quite North London but I use Advanced Autos in Bushey Herts. Mick the boss is a top guy but be warned they are not cheap. If it's too far perhaps consider Bmerc in Barnet I've never used them but they come highly recommended on the forum
