does it not do it already?

mines a bit of a pain tbh, and although it seems like a good feature i wouldnt bother

press the unlock button, press it again and hold it

the windows roll down, then the roof starts to open if you release the button even for a seccond while the roof is opening it will stop where it is, mid opperation and you will need to get in the car and press the button

i think i have only once got it to open all the way successfully with the fob,

as for clossed cant get mine to even attempt it, not sure weather it does it or not

Have you come across these ??. . Just trigger the key fob 3 times & hey presto ! (it also works for putting the roof up as well). . .

I had this feature unlocked on my fob. Works fine, if i let go off the button during the roof opening or closing i just hold the button down again for 4 seconds and it continues. Apparently, and I'm quoting the diagnostics guy I go to....its an option in countrys with very warm climates and UK BMW didn't offer it as an option yet all E46 ragtops have the option within the roof module
