Not in Bristol but I would highly recommend Forza West in Chepstow the owner really knows his stuff, only a 25 min drive from Portishead.

The only downside is the bridge tolls!!

    Cheers

I'd second that.. Stuart who runs it is a BMW master tech so really knows his stuff and charges less than most crappy backstreet garages.. I don't go anywhere else and never would, better than dealer service for a fraction of the price

Just to bump this, I pointed a mate towards Forza West this week as I've tried everyone in Bristol over the years. He saved him about £2500 off his auto gearbox rebuild on a problem the dealers couldn't sort. The diagnostic skills and the labour charges seriously impressed me, it's where my car will be going next. I have been known to travel 200 odd miles for work.

I've got on fine with Clayton. However, I've stopped recommending them as your not the first person to have a bad experience with them.

I always use Wheelbase in Fishponds, they really know their stuff and don't do unnecessary work, never had a problem with them.
