    Hi Lads,

The problem with replacement parts is they are done cheaper!! The price you pay at BMW is a guarantee on the part as well as the massive margin the make!! but i have had bad parts from them, i had a TPS sensor that didnt work!!!

The companies such as euros, Camberly etc etc dont make the parts but buy in replicas, I have had used all of them and at one point or another you get the faulty part as it is made in India etc and quality control is about as good as a life jacket in the dead sea!!!!
My advice mate, everytime you buy something from a motor factors, take the part out of the box and just do a visual check you can normally spot something array if it dont look right ask for another to compare, if your not getting trade then use the facilties, if you are be as nice as possible!!!

Also something that you might want to know, All new parts supplied by a company HAS to have a warranty for 3 months, so if a part fails before that make sure you asdd this into your battle

wot do u think off my chances are getting the cost of removal and fitting off the part as i had already paid for this and because this part is still under warrenty why should i be out of pocket again 4 something that should off been ok as it has to be safty inspected before it leaves the shop or factory

minimal, the only legal warranty is that of the part, they may give you a little off but you might end up losing a convienant parts company,
The other point you could make is if the garage fitted it properly? then you might be able to get them to replace it for free??
