    I highly recommend:

Quarry Motors and Partsauction.co.uk for used parts, very cheap and very quick.

Euro car parts seem to stock a fair bit too

Thanks for your time, pricing up parts now.

I have read on here; about the crank case filter causing smoking upon start up. My 320d smokes when I first pull away and I mean smokes it could be used as the next batman car, it only dose it now and then; it could go a couple of days and not do it; its a grey and blue smoke. Car drives fine with no loss of power. How hard is it to change, I was quoted £133 by BMW.
If I have the inspection 2 done £400 they will change it for me. But £400 just to change some filters plus look over the car, well tell me they have looked over my car, (just never came across a honest mechanic in my 18 years of driving ) seems mad, the oil was changed 3 weeks ago when I got the car.

Plus anyone know what and where to pick up the right diagnostic kit for my car?

Sorry for more of your time.

    Scott

Scott, dont know if this will help you but i done a guide on how to changed your crank case/breather filter, EGR valve clean, swirl flap modification and a service which should clear up most of your issues.
