If you're in the area, Merrows Tyres in Farnham. Martin is the owner and alignment specialist and he's ex-BMW main dealer too. He really knows his stuff and is good for tyres too.

I have just changed my fronts, offside was illegal, bald on the outside edge but still had 5mm in the middle. I mainly run up and down the motorway so something is out but the car feels fine.
The tyre place said only BMW can set the car up because of it having ESP, er BMW said it was because they don't publish the alignment figures. Anyway the stealer wanted £272 to do the job, I fell off my chair, why is it that much?
Apparently they take the wheels off and put cameras on the hubs, then put the wheels back on and repeat, they also put lasers under the car on bits of the suspension, and finally put sandbags on it to weigh it down and take more measurements. A 3.5hr job they are only allowed to book 3 hours (charge) for.
I think it can be done at an alignment specialist cheaper because the labour will be less for the same but the above sounds like the kind of set up I would use on my race car!
I shall try the suggestion on here and take my '09 E92 330D Se to a place with a 4 wheel hunter machine as 50 odd is way better!

the wife drives a MX5 10AE, which needed aligning. i took it to Roddisons garage at sheffield WOW what a difference. the '5 is all about chucking it into corners, and what a difference the check/alignment made
my 320 coupe feels about right, but TBH i can feel a trip to rodders coming on, hope this helps

I use fcm motorsport in bristol and they chargeabout 50 to set up the geometry and Lee will ask you what your driving style is like and set it up to suit that and does a fantastic job.
