I remember calling my dealer last year and asking the same question. They wanted £250 to check it. Then if any work needed doing it would be more

Had it done along with a load of other stuff, and I think I got it down to about £150.... It did completely change the feel of the car though, it felt so 'right' when I got it back!

Paid £80 for mine on a brand new state of the art machine . I got a computer read out at the start and at the end . Mine was way out . The only thing that wasn`t adjustable was the front castor angle . It made a fantastic difference to mine even though I thought it was ok beforehand ( only took it in because of uneven tyre wear ) . Had mine done at E.T.B level street brierley hill . ( the old ATS depot ) .Would strongly recommend .

Vauxfan.. why would you go to a dealer? They will use the same machine, same specifications/software and follow the same process as anywhere with a hunter alignment machine..

Major difference being your wallet will feel violated after a visit to the dealer!

I had my alignment done at a local place for £50 cash.. aslong as they've got a hunter machine you'll get the results you want

You have gotta be careful who does it. Some of those tyre monkeys dont give a shit and just whack it as close to the green on the printout as they can. I used a local tyre place a few times and TBH they were just slack and careless. I would deffo be prepared to travel to a specialist as they know what they are doing and are enthusiastic about the job they are paid to do.

I finally found this place and they are the dogs bollocks.

They even corner weight the car first which I have never seen anyone else do. They are not cheap either. I know they are fookin miles away from you, but its worth having a read of there website and forum....

not a main dealer or anywhere near you but i've used these guys www.supertracker.com they supply, fit and train the equipment so thought they would know how to use it properly.

fantastic result. cured my understeer and the car has a very nice balance to it now. the guy was very good, explained everything before, during and after the adjustments, quick with it too. asked me to go for a test drive to check it over and amke sure i was happy instead of taking it himself. did a friday special £40 instead of £50+. highly recommended

This post hit the nail on the head. If someone tried to charge me over £65 for a 4 wheel alignment i would punch them in the face.

Just go to any tire centre that uses hunters alignment and part with a much more wallet friendly 50 to 70 quid.

You'll be punching quite a lot of people in the face then if you think you can get a full 4 wheel alignment on a hunter machine for under £65.
