Four hours! That is a long time - I had to get mine done last year after it failed its MOT. It cost £150 to replace them - the parts totalled a wopping £9, the rest was all labour.

I'm not 100% convinced about some MOT stations; some death traps seem to get through no worries.

Hi people thanks for the replies yeah i do have a written report signed and dated by the garage to say the rear of the car is not right and i do have a recipt off the dealer to say i bought the car.How i noticed it was driving the car home and at speeds above 40mph plus when you take your foot of the acelerator or brake the car is really snakey on the back but on the test drive we didnt go over 30 to 40 mph because the roads were windy so didnt notice.im only a learner driver i bought it for my first car and i didnt like the drive of it at all i new there was something wrong.Cant belive someone would rip you off in a way that something is dangerous to the driver and other road users.I cant get hold of him at the moment hes on holiday (spending my money)!!.I went to see the car and i bought there and then so he coudent have done any thing to the vehicle because i bought it there and then. thanks for the replies i woudent mind if something broke but to be dangerous i want my money back

12 degrees on each side? For one wheel to be that far out is one thing, for both to be so far and and identical suggests that your garage doesn't know how to use the wheel alignment equipment. I'd take it somewhere else.

I love it when someone buys a car and takes it to another garage and its labelled a "death trap"

Sounds to me like it just needs a 4 wheel alignment. Bushes can't be gone or anything bent underneath or it would have failed the MOT. Did anything like RTAB come up on the advisories?
