Just thought i would tell you this true story and it might help you if you have dealings with this company.
Last year i had a peugeot 406, my neighbour thought it would be a good idea to reverse into the side of it. My insurance company (swift cover) Told me i had to take it to williams manchester to be fixed. It took them a month to fit me in cos i needed a courtesy car. Then it took them 3 weeks to fit and paint the rear door. When i arrived to pick it up i noticed the laquer on the top of the bumper had come off, it wasnt a small amount it was about a foot long. On pointing this out i was told that it wasnt there fault the bumper must of had a poor quality paint job done in the past. I refused to take the car away untill they fixed the problem.
They told me if i didnt they would charge me storidge. I spoke to my insurance in there lobby and was told to take it home and they would send an asseser to look at it. After throwing the phone at the fool and a few more heated words he was addamnt that they wouldnt fix it.
So i phoned my 6 foot 3 brother who happens to be a fully qualified pannel beater and sprayer and told him to come straight down. On the sight of him they started to see sense. They offered to have a look at it out of good will.
It was fixed by the next morning.
The point is this should never have been allowed to get this far. I thought when the phone hit him he would see the light.
How many more people will be ripped off by this company. BEWARE

swift cover insisted i use one of there garages. When i argued the point they started saying they would only pay so much towards the repair. I know i could of forced the issue but then i thought hey its bmw , what can go wrong.

My mate took his e46 325i cab sport there and they were amazingly dumb!! He had to have a new alloy, one refurb, new front bumper, wing and bonnet. It was there for 4 weeks and he had 2 courtesy cars.

The first time we went to get the car, the front fog lights didnt match, the new wheel had the wrong tyre on it, it wasnt clean and it had something else but enough to question it.

When i pointed all these things out, they shrugged their shoulders and said it'll be fine! A different size tyre isnt fine to me, and it was BMW for god sake. They were so unprofessional, makes me think that they just didnt care.

I've always had a bad experience with ****** and would never go there to get a car or service.

TBH the new car sales department isn't all that great either. Lazylegs and myself walked out after waiting over an hour to be insulted by this complete nob of a salesman....... Their loss, spent more at the right dealership in the end

Its a real shame isnt it..youd think going to the main dealers instead of the indys would secure some reliability in exchange for higher costs but apparently not.

I realy think we need thread of a list of names of dealers and indys that have been useless or tried to rip us off.Like if enough people name 1 place it goes on the list...that way we have a direct point to go to and see if our locals are worth a miss.

I dealt with ******* Liverpool for my X5 and they couldnt have been more helpful!! Got 4 new Bridgestones on the car as well as ther brakes replaced too before I picked it up. Car could have been cleaner inside but then I did tell them not to be that fussy cleaning it as I was going to do it myself when I got it home. Only quibble if any was a burst pipe for the windscreen washers which, in fairness, could have happened after I left the dealer. Told them about it and they told me to take it to local and if there was any problem with getting done under warranty, call them and they'd pay for it!!

    99/100 for them from me!!
