I recently got a 2015 220D MSport x Drive Gran Tourer after having various Series 3 Tourer's. I needed more luggage space for touring holidays but in a small footprint car and without ditching BMW. I am perfectly happy with it so far. Don't bother to pointlessly question my choice - it makes sense for me.

My question here is whether anyone can advise me as to how to go about removing the second row of seats which don't quite fold flat. Doing this would give me even more capacity and I would still have the back two seats which are neatly folded under the floor for when very rarely needed. It seems no-one is yet offering a workshop manual which might have helped. A halfway step could be to just remove the seat backs but there is no obvious way of doing that. Any practical advice would be gratefully received.

I don't think you can fully remove the middle seats tbh.

Did you try a solid tug on the base of the middle seats? It most other BMW this will remove the base. That way you can fold the backs down further for a completely flat loading bay?

Not sure if that's of any help :(
