    Hello Guys, my names Nev

I'm new this forum stuff, I always read conversations on forums for advice etc so I thought I would join you all.

I own a 530D and I'm thinking about having a "RaceChip Pro 2" put in, Ive seen loads of forums saying these are great additions to the car and the claimed benefits are true, however all these forums are in other countries (Canada, Australia). With my confidence in the product I nearly bought it from there website direct then I read its easier and quicker to order it through there eBay account. I found the product I need and decided to quickly check there account reviews on the product, very recent purchases are saying its a waste of time and money and it doesn't work etc. There account was nearly 11000 and only 100 max of these was negative feedback about the product.

So if anyone has any info or experience on this product or any similar ones I could use I would appreciate the help.

    Thanks.

Dont waste ur money on plug and play chips have it remapped its so much better and safer for ur engine god knows what these plug and play crap do but a decent tuner that knows what hes doing hands down its worth paying the few extra quid u wont regret a remap cant say the same for a chip tho

I have a dieseltorque powerchip in my e46 330d and got a 6% increase in power and a 12% increase in torque. I know it does not sound a lot but you can feel the difference when you bypass the chip to put it back to standard. It has a clip that you can so you can set the performance up or down over 10 positions (mine is set at 4, after that it smokes a bit). Main reason i went for the chip was not many trustworthy tuners here and it worked out to about the same price.

I do agree with your statement but i think the one i have is a bit better than some of whats on offer as it has several map choices and has done over 90-000kms with it and no real problems. I had a unichip one on my 328i and that was a waste of money. Could feel no difference at all.

Thanks for the replies, taken me a while to get back on the forum.

From the looks of the comments the chip isn't as appealing now, risking engine problems for the sake of a silly chip and a little more power seems stupid. Im currently looking to trade my BMW and get a Focus RS so i shall leave the car standard while i make my mind up.

    Cheers,
